Manhole & Pit Inspection Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast & Australia-Wide

Drain Tech Australia provides detailed manhole, chamber and borehole inspections using advanced CCTV and 360-degree manhole inspection technology.

Using systems such as the QuickView 360, we can complete surface-level inspections without the need for confined space entry in many applications. The camera is lowered into the asset from above and captures a complete 360-degree visual record of the internal condition of the manhole, chamber or borehole.

During the inspection, we record key asset information including structural condition, defects, service connections, incoming and outgoing pipes, dimensions and general observations.

Our manhole inspection reports help identify defects, deterioration and required maintenance or repairs that may not be visible from above ground, supporting informed asset management and rehabilitation planning.

More Information
What Manhole & Pit Inspection Is Used For

Manhole and pit inspection is used to assess the condition of stormwater, sewer and drainage access structures, including manholes, pits, chambers and related assets.

The inspection helps identify structural defects, safety issues, serviceability concerns, infiltration, debris, damaged components and maintenance requirements without relying only on surface-level observations.

How the Inspection Is Completed

Our operators inspect the asset using suitable visual inspection equipment, which may include pole-mounted cameras, CCTV equipment or 360-degree inspection technology depending on the asset type, access and project requirements.

During the inspection, visible defects and observations are recorded, including the condition of walls, benching, channels, lids, frames, steps, pipe connections and other accessible components.

What the Report Includes

The final report can include asset details, inspection findings, condition observations, defect notes, supporting images and recommendations where required.

Reports can be tailored to suit council, civil construction, maintenance, asset management or project handover requirements.

When Manhole & Pit Inspection Is the Best Option

Manhole and pit inspection is best suited when asset owners, councils, contractors or engineers need clear condition information for access structures within a stormwater, sewer or drainage network.

It is commonly used for asset condition assessment, civil handover documentation, defect investigation, maintenance planning and identifying structures that may require cleaning, repair or further investigation.
