CCTV Pipe Inspection
Pipe CCTV Inspection Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast & Beyond
Drain Tech Australia provides professional CCTV pipe inspection services across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and beyond.
CCTV pipe inspection is used to assess the internal condition of stormwater, sewer and drainage pipelines without excavation. Our robotic camera equipment captures clear inspection footage while operators record defects, serviceability issues, obstructions and general pipe condition.
Reports can be prepared to support council requirements, civil handover, asset condition assessment, maintenance planning, blockage investigation, defect identification and repair works.
Don't forget we also have completely portable CCTV systems
Our battery-powered portable systems allow us to inspect pipes, drains, manholes and other underground assets in areas such as rooftops, basements, factories, confined sites, rear yards, bushland areas and locations with limited vehicle access. This flexibility allows our experienced operators to complete inspections safely and efficiently while still capturing clear footage and detailed asset information.
Portable equipment can be used for smaller diameter pipe inspections, defect locating, asset verification, blockage investigations and general condition assessments. Where required, inspection footage and observations can also be compiled into detailed reports to support maintenance, repair or asset management decisions.

Push Camera inspections for smaller assets
Our push camera is used to inspect smaller asset sizes where larger CCTV equipment cannot reach.
It allows us to see inside pipes and drains and identify issues such as blockages, cracks, tree roots, damaged joints, and other defects.
Push camera inspections are a quick and practical way to check the condition of smaller residential, commercial, and civil drainage assets.

What CCTV Pipe Inspection Is Used For
CCTV pipe inspection is used to inspect the internal condition of stormwater, sewer and drainage pipelines without the need for excavation.
It helps identify defects, blockages, root intrusion, cracks, displaced joints, broken pipe sections, debris, service connections and other issues that may affect pipe performance.
How the Inspection Is Completed
Our operators use CCTV inspection equipment to travel through the pipe from a suitable access point such as a manhole, pit, inspection opening or chamber.
During the inspection, live footage is reviewed and key observations are recorded, including pipe condition, defects, distances, asset details and any restrictions or serviceability concerns identified during the survey.
What the Report Includes
The final report can include asset details, CCTV footage, defect observations, still images, condition grading, pipe distances, inspection notes and recommendations where required.
Reports can be prepared to suit council, civil construction, maintenance, asset management, engineering, handover or investigation requirements.
When CCTV Inspection Is the Best Option
CCTV pipe inspection is best suited when clients need clear internal pipe condition information without excavation or unnecessary disturbance to the site.
It is commonly used for civil handover, pre-construction and post-construction inspections, blockage investigations, maintenance planning, asset condition assessments and defect verification works.
